March 2010: UFN’s “Little Piece of Paradise” project coverts South-Central LA ugly, water-sucking parking strips into beautiful, aromatic, water-saving, ecologically-sound settings; each hosting micro-climates beneath trees to improve air quality and property values!

February  2010: “Paradise” project, stage I, UFN members and
volunteers laid layers of various organic material where grassy    
(dead or dying) parking strips once sucked precious urban
resources; installing drip-system irrigation; and planting.

March 2010: “Paradise” project, stage II: Maturing
parkways are fragrant, beautiful, and ecologically-compatible, while adding curb appeal and financial value to respective residential properties.
